The Leadership Corpus Christi Alumni Association offers a year-round calendar of events that strengthen connections, foster leadership, and support the continued success of the program.     3rd Annual LCC Past Chairs Luncheon

    The Leadership Corpus Christi Alumni Association is proud to invite you to the third annual Past Chairs Luncheon, an intimate gathering honoring the legacy and leadership of those who have helped shape the program over the years.

    Date: Thursday, July 24, 2025
    Time: Noon
    Venue: The Bay Jewel Event Center | 624 N Mesquite St.
    Parking: Complimentary valet parking provided

    This special event brings together past program chairs to reconnect, reflect on the accomplishments of Class 53, and celebrate the unveiling of the next Leadership Corpus Christi class. It’s our way of saying thank you for the dedication, heart, and countless hours poured into leading this program forward.

    Space is limited to preserve the spirit and intimacy of the gathering. This event is exclusive to:

    • Current LCCA Board Members

     Taco Takedown 
    Presented by Autonation Chevrolet South Corpus Christi! 

    Join us for a sizzling day of competition, community, and, of course, tacos at the Leadership Corpus Christi Alumni Association's Taco Takedown! Local charities will battle it out in a friendly taco cook-off to claim the title of Best Taco. Dive into a day filled with flavor, fun, and philanthropy, all supporting charitable causes in the Coastal Bend area.

    When: Saturday, September 20 at Noon
    Where: Concrete Street Amphitheater

    Event Highlights:

      Taco Cook-Off: Local charities compete for the crown and cash prizes!
      Public Engagement: Taste a variety of tacos, enjoy vibrant live entertainment, and vote for your favorite in the People's Choice Award!
      Community Building: Connect with your community at an event that celebrates local flavors and faces.

    PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW:


    Team Details:

    • Team Entry Fee: $1,000
    • Team Size: Four members
    • $750 Early Bird Entry- Register by July 15
    • The first 10 teams to register will receive a $500 H-E-B card to use towards ingredients - Proudly Sponsored by H-E-B

    Registration Deadline: Monday, September 8, 2025.

    Event Schedule:

    • Team Setup Time: 9 am
    • Event Doors: 12 pm
    • Judging Time: 2 pm
    • Award Ceremony: 3 pm

    Participation Details:

    • Non-Profit Representation: Each team must represent a 501(c)(3) non-profit or charity. Only one team per charity is allowed.
    • Cooking Requirements: Teams are required to prepare sample-sized tacos for 300 attendees.
    • Ingredients: Teams must provide their own ingredients.
    • Equipment: Teams will need to be self-sufficient and provide all cooking and serving equipment, and tent. Each team will be provided 4 folding chairs and 1 6ft table. No electrical power will be provided to teams.
    • Judging Criteria: Tacos will be judged based on taste, creativity, and presentation.
    • Judges: A panel of sponsors & culinary experts will determine the winners.
    • People’s Choice Award: Attendees will vote for their favorite taco, and the team with the most votes will receive the People’s Choice Award.

    Health and Safety:

    • Sanitation: Follow all health and safety guidelines for food preparation and handling. Each team is responsible for keeping their booth area clean and free of debris. Care must be taken to avoid spills.
    • Alcohol: Absolutely no outside alcohol will be permitted due to TABC Regulations. Teams are allowed to partake in alcoholic beverages purchased from the venue so long it does not affect their ability to serve guests. Outside alcohol or excessive consumption will be grounds for disqualification with no refund of entry fees.

    Prizes:

    • 1st Place: $5,000
    • 2nd Place: $2,500
    • 3rd Place: $1,000
    • People’s Choice: $1,000
    • Payout: The prize money will be awarded to the non-profit or charity directly.
