Timeline & process

The application period is open from January 15, 2026 through February 15, 2026. The Nominating Committee will review all applications and notify applicants of their status via private email. Candidates advancing to the ballot will be announced on March 20, 2026, with voting opening on March 23 and concluding at the Annual Meeting on May 22, 2026.

There is no minimum or maximum number of candidates on the ballot. Each year, five (5) board members are elected, including one (1) representative from the current graduating class. Two members from the current graduating class are elected by their class and automatically placed on the ballot; the top vote-getter will secure a board seat, while the second candidate will be elected only if they receive more votes than other candidates.

NOMINATING COMMITTEE

The LCC Alumni Association Nominating Committee is responsible for overseeing a fair, transparent, and values-aligned board election process. The committee reviews all submitted applications, evaluates candidates based on established criteria, and determines which applicants will move forward to the ballot. Committee members serve as neutral stewards of the process, ensuring a balanced, engaged, and effective board that reflects the diverse experiences of Leadership Corpus Christi alumni.

The current Nominating Committee consists of:

  • Caitlin Chupe, LCC Class 50), Chair
  • Brooke Guajardo, LCC Class 49
  • Avery Durrill-Reny, LCC Class 53
