Biography
Caitlin Johnson Chupe is an Audit Shareholder at Collier, Johnson & Woods, P.C. - a local CPA firm that has been serving the Coastal Bend since 1947. She has been auditing and consulting businesses and organizations in South Texas for her entire professional career. She has served on the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA) Corpus Christi board and at the state level, on the TXCPA's Board of Directors. She also participates in activities for young and emerging professionals at both the state and local level.
In 2019, Caitlin was one of twenty Texas CPAs recognized as a Rising Star by the TXCPA as well as a Corpus Christi Under 40 honoree. In 2020 she was named "HER Industry Leader" by the Bend Magazine. Other recognitions include 2019-2020 Distinguished Public and Outstanding Service (TXCPA-CC) and 2018-2019 Young CPA of the Year (TXCPA-CC).
In addition to her time spent within professional organizations, Caitlin currently serves as a volunteer for multiple community organizations including the Nueces County Appraisal District (Board Member), Art Museum of South Texas (Trustee), KEDT (Board Member), and Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi (College of Business Advisory Council).
Caitlin was born and raised in Corpus Christi. She earned her Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas State University in 2009 and her Master of Accountancy from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi in 2010. She met her husband, Jonas, during her time at the Island University and the two were blessed with their own 'future islander', Brody, in 2017.
